The 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, in front of the Korean War Memorial in Providence.
The commemoration ceremony was attended by Korean War veterans and their families, state officials, and KAARI members. KAARI President Sang-wook Ji and Boston Consul General Jaehwi Kim provided remarks and laid a wreath at the monument. The RI-Veterans Office provided lunch at the State House.
After the ceremony, the Boston Consulate team visited the KAARI Culture Center in Cranston and met with the KAARI leadership. Consul General Kim encouraged the Association to continue outstanding work and promised to support the KAARI's future activities.
