Jeongdong’s Spring/Lulu Frey

This new book, “Jeongdong’s Spring,” by Ewha Womans University, is a collection of letters sent to her family by Lulu Frey, the 4th Principal of Ewha Women's University.   Lulu Frey went to Korea from 1893 to 1921, taught students at Ewha, and served as a missionary for the Methodist Women’s Overseas Missionary Society. She made great efforts to establish the human rights of women who were socially marginalized in the unequal education system and bad customs prevalent in Korean society at the time.
