73rd anniversary ceremony of the Korean War Armistice Agreement

The 73rd anniversary ceremony of the Korean War Armistice Agreement was held on Monday, July 27, at 10:00 AM in front of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Providence.

 

Attendees included Korean War veterans and their families, state government officials, Deputy Consul General Jeongryeol Kwak, and members of the Korean Association of Rhode Island—including KAARI Building Committee Chair Bongsup, Board Chair Chanho Lee, and Board Member Raymond Kim.

 

Following the ceremony, Deputy Consul General Kwak and members of the Korean American Association accompanied the veterans to the Bristol Veterans Nursing Home. There, they presented gifts prepared by the Consulate General—such as fans and blankets—and expressed their gratitude.

 

The day’s events concluded with a luncheon at a nearby restaurant, where attendees enjoyed friendly conversation with the veterans. The lunch was hosted by the Consulate General.
