Korean Independence Day Picnic

The 2025 August 15th Liberation Day Picnic was held at Tuckertown Park in South Kingstown at 3-6 PM on Sunday, August 17th.

All attendees saluted the national flag and observed a moment of silence to pay tribute to the fallen heroes. KAARI President Angela Sharkey delivered a welcome remark, and Consul Eun Seok JI from the Boston Consulate delivered a congratulatory address. All attendees then sang the Liberation Day song. Finally, former KAARI Elder Raymon Kim led three cheers, and all attendees joined in the celebration.

Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed the picnic foods, prepared by the KAARI members, and mingled. The leisurely outdoor gathering was a delightful experience, thanks to the slightly cooler weather.
